Pro Drywall (and painting) FINISHED!

I can’t believe it, but our drywall is finally done! Jacob and I are so happy that we bit the bullet and hired someone to do it because it looks great and it gone done way faster than if we did it ourselves.

What’s more is that Mark, the amazing guy that he is, even primed and painted all the rooms back there too (bed, bath, closet AND laundry)! What’s so cool about this? First of all, he’s a pro so it looks amazing. Another great thing is that it freed up time that Jacob and I thought we’d have to spend painting. But what’s coolest is that Mark mixes his very own paint colors! All we had to do was give him a sample of the hardwood in the bedroom and the tile in the bathroom and he mixed different colors that would go best with the floors we chose. So for the bedroom Mark focused on the lightest color in the wood and matched that for the walls, and for the bathroom he went with the darkest color in our light gray tiles. So. Freaking. Cool. Not only does it sound awesome, but it looks AMAZING!

I can’t believe I am about to write this, but it looks like Jacob and I are ready for the tile guy to come in and do his thing in the bathroom. Once that’s done, we can put in the shower head, toilet, sinks and BATHTUB! Then we’ll have a real bathroom again! And once that’s finished, it will be time for the destruction of the guest bath (most of it at least- we will leave the toilet and sink intact, but everything else is going). Why destroy the downstairs bathroom? Well…. it did have mushrooms growing out of the floor this past winter and there are mildew spots all over it. Yup, it’s gotta go.
