Laundering

As another step in the process of red tag removal, Jacob and I wanted to button up the inside of the laundry room- make it as legit looking as possible. One of the many things we did to do this was lay real ceramic tile in there (over what we originally put in- vinyl tiles).

first I laid down this stuff that was basically felt legos in a roll

it went down over all of the vinyl

Another thing we needed to do was patch up where Jacob put holes in the wall to try and fix a wiring issue we had (we ended up finding out we put a nail through a wire, so had to run new wire to make things in working order for the inspection). My dad and I put in wood backing instead of patching the drywall (because we suck at drywall). That part looks good now….

Too bad we had to cut ANOTHER giant section out of the drywall for the vent we needed to put in to get our laundry room signed off by the inspector 😦

Oh well! At least most of it is done, and Jacob and I have decided that we will get this bit of drywall patched and looking like new at the same time we get the drywall in our office done! Hopefully that’ll be around January? We shall see.
