On A Roll

There’s no other way to say this that quite captures what we did this week and weekend- in essence, we kicked butt! It all started during the week after work…

a pain-in-the-butt section to do- look at all those extra holes I had to cut for electrical stuff!

This weekend, like we usually do, we had help from my dad!

Now for what happened outside…

While Jacob and my dad spent all day Saturday demo-ing the slider, building a wall in its place, putting up siding AND installing our new door (wow that’s a lot), I had the less glamorous task of doing drywall.

first I finished the other two panels in the bay area, and then I started on the weird truss area up top

after finishing that side, I did the other side as well

then the other

It resulted in bruised knees, a blood blister, and sheer exhaustion, but after two days and a lot of measuring, cutting (and some swearing in there, too), I managed to finish ALL of the drywall (Jacob helped a lot with screwing it all in, though- so it wasn’t all me).

I am now super tired but incredibly happy with what we’ve accomplished- and good thing too because next weekend we will be in LA enjoying being Tio and Tia for 4 days straight!
