Floating

When Jacob and I do things to and for our house, we generally like and try to keep it in the family (we do most of the work ourselves and get loads of help of our dads- and my grandpa for the retaining wall). However, there are some things that we just can’t do. Like shooting gravel off a conveyor belt and onto our hill or pumping cement up our hill.

And floating drywall.

A couple years ago Jacob and his pop attempted a float job in our laundry room. It didn’t go well. Since then, we have contracted out this work- which is actually more of an art form. Just this past weekend our drywall guy came and did his magic! He is not done yet, but man it is looking good.

My dad also finished framing out the bench this weekend- we are getting so close to finishing this office!!

my dad also wrapped the inside with 1/4 inch finish plywood

Next on the list? Paint as soon as drywall floating is done and dry. Then… installing the hardwood!
